Let a man overcome anger by love, let him overcome evil by good, let him overcome the greedy by liberality, the liar by truth!

Dhammapada 17:223
Buddhism

You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt on yourself.

Leviticus 19:17
Judiasm & Christianity

Kurt said something last night after our trip to the Reiman Garden about how he wondered what the Garden of Eden was like. Last night I thought it might have been something like the Gardens. But this morning when the book opened to this page I realized that the Garden of Eden could be anywhere and it could have plants or not have plants. But what it had (or has) is a place without - without anger, without greed, without evil, - no lies, no hatred. It had love, good, liberality, and truth. With all those things any place can be a Garden of Eden. A place where the love and peace of God come through to all and no one incurs guilt. Have a wonderful week in the Garden of your Eden. j
