There was an impressive display of thunderheads SE of Ames near Cambridge today. I watched them and other storm clouds and while they were ominous, they did very little but make a few rain drops. As I came home the sun was filtering through the clouds making these lovely "God Beams" that looked great behind a stately old windmill (one of my most favorite subjects)....Enjoy!

Not surprisingly the top one is my favorite. I see those and I start getting excited. Even though these today were just garden-variety summer storms, they are amazing nonetheless.
