Jon is taking Max to Iowa State. He is still weak and not eating. Dr. in Story City thinks it may be an autoimmune disease which attacks the jaw muscles. Jon got some chicken broth down him but not much and it was hard to do. If anyone can find out about this ISU Vet clinic should be able to. They just left. I think Max drank a little and he did urinate while he was here. Keep them in your thoughts. And thank you for doing so.

I was most impressed with the ISU vet clinic when I took my first Rottie there. Between the student and the teaching vet, they spent well over an hour with us doing the initial exam, and then a lot more time doing followup x-rays, etc. Plus, when we went to pick him up, they had all sort of adopted him, vying to be the ones that got to take him outside.
Initially, they were all pretty cautious, and rightly so, of a hurting Rottweiler. But after they got a morphine patch on his neck, they decided he was really all right. Which is surprising, since with anyone except me, my wife, and our kids, he was normally an obnoxious SOB.
