I really don't feel much like blogging tonight. Jon just brought Max home and they are spending the night. Max's kidneys are 75% gone. He does not seem to be in amy pain or unhappy and Jon says he pulls on the leash.

Jay, I receive "The Story of the Day" by email, and the one for today made me thing of Jon and Max. It's a very sad thing to have to make such a decision about a beloved companion. My husband cried for days after we had Rusty put down in the late stages of lymphoma. He was more affected than I was. I saw how Rusty was beginning to suffer, and I did not wish to see him like that. Grandpère just didn't want his friend to go.
I pray for Max and Jon and all who love him.
