I got an invitation in the mail today for the Lodge. It is for a Golf tournament. Here is the information:

The Most Worshipful North Star Lodge # 2 is proud to host its 1st Annual Kenneth J. Collier Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament in Des Moines, IA on August 2nd 2008 at Willow Creek Golf Course located at 140 Army Post Rd.

North Star Lodge # 2 is a benevolent fraternal organization. As Masons we strive to help meet the needs of the local community. Located in Des Moines, Iowa, North Star Lodge # 2 has a long history of supporting the people in our community. As such, we believe that one important aspect of serving our community is ensuring that our youth receive the opportunities to obtain a college degree. Therefore, all proceeds from the golf tournament and dance will help support the Kenneth J. Collier Scholarship Fund. The members of North Star Lodge ask for your help as we labor to keep our commitment to our community. In addition to your participation in the tournament, we would like for you to consider hole sponsorship. Hole sponsorship cost is $150. The name of your organization or business will be displayed on the hole of your choice.

To kick off our first annual tournament, North Star Lodge # 2 will host a dance on Friday August 1st from 8 pm - 12 am at the Quality Inn and Suites Event Center located at 929 3rd St. in Des Moines, Iowa.

Individual Adults $75.00 - Early Bird Registration Fee (by July 20th)
Individual Adults $85 - After July 20th
Teams of Four Adults - $300. - Early Bird Registration (by July 20) - $340.oo After July 20.
Individual Youth and Young Adult up to Age 17, $35.00
Hole Sponsorship $150.00
